How to make a new folder on mac

To make a new folder on a Mac, there are a few steps to follow.

First, open Finder by clicking on the Finder icon located in the Dock (the white and blue icon with a smiling face).

Go to the location where you want to create the new folder. This can be your desktop, Documents folder, or any other directory. You can click on the left side.

Once you're in the desired location, right-click on an empty area (or Control-click if you don't have a right-click button) to open the context menu.

From the context menu, select "New Folder." Alternatively, you can use the keyboard shortcut "Shift + Command + N" to create a new folder.

A new folder will appear, and its name will be highlighted, allowing you to type a name for the folder. Give the folder a name that is meaningful to you.

Press the "Enter" key to save the folder with the specified name.

This will have created a new folder with the specific name you gave it!
